Resident foreign journalists or foreign journalists for short-term news coverage should submit their applications to interview ministers or other principal officials of the ministries or commissions of the State Council to the foreign affairs department (or information department) of the relevant ministries and commissions in advance. The application should include the journalist's name, position, the media organization he/she works for, which minister or department head he/she wishes to interview and an outline of the questions to be raised. Applications for interviewing relevant leading officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs should be submitted to the Information Department, while applications to interview departmental-level officials of the Foreign Ministry may be submitted directly to the concerned departments.
