Dear journalists,

Beginning from September, following adjustments will be made to the information release mechanism of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs so as to further enhance its timeliness and better satisfy media's requirement.

First, the regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be increased from twice to five times every week. At 3 p.m. every weekday, the press conference will be held in Lanting, Southern Building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with an average duration of no more than 20 minutes.

Second, the Foreign Ministry Spokespersons will release information and answer questions on diplomatic issues.

Third, the Spokesperson's Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will take your questions through a telephone (65963342) and a fax (65963374). Questions will be taken through duty mobile phone (13910869816) on weekends and holidays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m..

We expect better cooperation with journalists within the new mechanism.
