The China Hi-Tech Fair(CHTF), approved by the State Council and co-organized by the Ministry of Commerce, National Intellectual Property Administration, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Shenzhen Municipal Government, is the largest and most influential science and technology exhibition in China. Known as “China’s top tech fair,” the annual fair, which has been successfully held for 21 consecutive years since 1999, is a combination of technology trade, product exhibition, high-level forums, project investment promotion and cooperation and exchange.

The 22nd CHTF will be held in Shenzhen from Nov. 11 to Nov. 15. With a theme of “Transforming the future with technology and driving development with innovation,” the fair will focus on advanced technologies and products in new-generation IT, new energy, new materials, energy conservation and environmental protection, advanced manufacturing, smart city, optoelectronic display, aeronautics and space. A virtual exhibition enabled by 5G and other new technologies will also be made available for exhibitors who are unable to attend the fair in person.

As part of the measures to ward off COVID-19, members of the press will be required to wear a mask, use designated entrances, present green codes for recent travel history and public security purposes (the codes can be generated by scanning the QR codes at the entrances) and receive a temperature check before entering the fair. A health certificate may also be required when necessary.

Journalists should wear a mask at all times while in the venue, and keep a distance of at least one meter from each other. Anyone attending a conference must sit at least two empty seats apart from others.

The organizers will continue to monitor the pandemic situation and will adjust entrance requirements when necessary and will give notice.
