1). Income tax

Upon assuming their posts in China, foreign journalists shall complete relevant procedures concerning income tax registration and payment at the local taxation authorities' foreign taxation branches in accordance with the Individual Income Tax Law of the People's Republic of China and other relevant regulations. 2). Customs

Permanent offices of foreign media organizations and resident foreign journalists shall declare, to local Chinese customs authorities, the importation of any supplies for office or daily use, vehicles, newsgathering or other equipments with the presentation of their passports, Press Card (R), Certificate for Permanent Office of Foreign Media Organization in China and foreign resident permits, and pay duties according to the Measures of the Customs of the People's Republic of China for Supervising the Entry and Exit of Public Goods of Resident Offices (Decree of the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China No. 115) and other related Chinese laws and regulations.
